I LIVE

“…shall not perish but have Eternal Life.”
Inspired by Max Lucado’s 3:16: The Numbers of Hope.

Over these past weeks, we have journeyed through the heart of the Gospel: God Loves. He Gave. I Believe. Now we arrive at the beautiful gift: I Live.

This is not merely life after death—it is life right now. Jesus did not come only to secure our future in Heaven; He came to begin a new kind of life today. Eternal life starts the moment we believe, not the moment we die.

Max Lucado writes, “God’s plan is to give us life—real life, abundant life, eternal life. He does not just want to save us from death; He wants to bring us into life.”

Eternal life begins now. It is the life of Jesus present in ordinary moments—peace in chaos, joy in sorrow, light in darkness. You are no longer perishing. You are living.

The phrase “shall not perish” tells us what we are saved from, but “eternal life” tells us what we are saved for. We are not rescued merely to survive; we are rescued to thrive. This life carries purpose, meaning, and hope that no circumstance can take away.

Living this new life reshapes our perspective. Challenges become opportunities for growth. Relationships become avenues to reflect God’s love. Each day carries intention. We live with confidence because we know the ultimate outcome of the story.

When sharing this hope with others, emphasize the life available now:

“Following Jesus gave my life a purpose and joy I had never known.”
“Eternal life is not just future hope—it transforms my present reality.”
“God’s plan is not only about Heaven someday, but fullness of life today.”

This completes the circle: Loved. Given. Believe. Live.
Let this become the rhythm of your heart—not just for a season, but for a lifetime.
