Seeing How Gods Blessings Fit – Part 5

Last time we built the edge pieces, discovering how God’s Framework holds everything together through His Perfect Timing, Protection, Provision, and Faithfulness.

I would love to pause for a moment and ask – as you have been working through these blessing patterns, have you started to see how Gods edge blessings create the framework for everything else? Are you beginning to recognize His Boundaries as protection rather than restriction? Remember, every master puzzle builder knows that the edges make everything else possible.

Today we are reaching upward for Gods Perspective on . . . those frustrating blessings and breakthrough blessings.

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:21-23 (ESV)

Any experienced puzzler knows this feeling: you have been staring at a piece for what feels like hours. You have tried it everywhere, turned it every way, and nothing fits. The colors seem right, the pattern looks close, but this piece just will not click into place. Frustration builds.

And then, in a moment that feels almost magical, you see it. The piece slides into place with that satisfying click, and suddenly three or four other pieces you had been struggling with make perfect sense too. What felt impossible moments before now seems so obvious you wonder how you missed it.

This is exactly what God’s Blessings feel like sometimes.

As I have been working on my lighthouse puzzle, I have experienced both types of blessings. There have been frustrating blessings – long weeks of treatment, endless side effects, appointments with more questions than answers. Why wasn’t I healing faster?

But then God revealed them as breakthrough blessings. The slow treatment was protection for my body. The overwhelming side effects showed the medicine was working. The blessing I thought was broken was exactly what God needed to connect my lighthouse of hope to someone else’s scattered blessings.

This pattern is not unique to our modern experience. Even the prophet Jeremiah knew the frustration of blessings that seemed broken – feeling deceived and mocked in his calling, until he realized he could not stop speaking God’s truth because it burned like fire in his bones (Jeremiah 20:9). What felt like Gods Abandonment was God’s Unquenchable Blessing working through him.

Here is what I have learned: the same God who gives us breakthrough blessings also stands faithfully with us through our frustrating blessings. His Presence does not waver when we cannot see the purpose. He keeps revealing just enough for the next step, even when we cannot see how His Blessings fit together.

Then, in His Perfect Timing, comes the revelation. The blessing that seemed impossible suddenly slides into place. The pattern appears. The blessing that felt broken reveals itself as the exact piece needed to complete a beautiful section of our lives.

Sometimes the breakthrough comes as a sudden flash of understanding – an aha moment when you finally see how God has been blessing you all along. Sometimes it comes gradually, like dawn breaking slowly over the horizon. But it always comes because our God is the God of Breakthrough Blessings.

The beautiful truth is this: both the frustrating blessings and the breakthrough blessings are part of God’s Perfect Design. The frustrating blessings are not punishment – they are preparation. The confusing blessings are not abandonment – they are invitation to trust deeper. The blessings that do not seem to fit are not mistakes – they are waiting for their perfect moment in God’s Timing.

Like my lighthouse appearing more clearly with each section completed, your puzzle is revealing something magnificent. The frustrating blessings are not slowing down God’s work – they are building your faith, developing your character, and preparing you for breakthrough blessings that will take your breath away.

Let us climb higher to see how this blessing fits as we discover that God’s Faithfulness shines just as clearly in our frustrating blessings as in our breakthrough blessings, and that both are essential pieces in the beautiful picture He is creating.
